Shine brightly even in the glare of daylight

Heart-on-fire

Reading about Wayne Dyers youth the willingness he had to stand his ground even against the most strident opposition, it brings to mind Marianne Williamson's quote "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us."

When you look around that world today with the political game playing and brinkmanship it is easy to look outwards to others to blame for what is happening in our lives. But really when you consider that everything you experience in your life right now is an extension of your thoughts and desires then change in the world must come from us … from our thoughts and inner most imaginings.

Some weeks ago I was having a particularly bad day and found myself ranting loudly to Spirit while driving frustrated at my inability to sort my shit out and bypass my desire to procrastinate when my Guides responded with a burst of images and phrases that stopped me in my tracks.

They showed me a beating heart followed by a magnifying glass and then an image of trees. They then said "the power of all creation comes from the fire within your heart, you magnify this power with the focus of your mind and your environment is the extension of your mind reflected back at you.

My first thoughts were "but I'm driving how can I write this down" needless to say they helped me retain the information (there was much more given) so that I can share it with whoever would listen.

In today's world it is so easy to fall into line with those around us, to follow the sheep ahead because it feels safe, easy and quite frankly we are conditioned every day to follow the rules. But what if this is not right for you?

I find myself questioning more and more about the need to follow the rules and asking 'who set the rules and why' because increasingly these rules erode our ability to think for ourselves, to shine our light brighter than anyone else.

And when I think about the download Spirit gave to me, the environment I am seeing doesn't reflect my desire for a society that helps us thrive and grow as people. The download helps me recognise that what I am seeing is feedback based on where my focus is right now, so to change the world I must change my focus. The power is already present in my heart I simply need to shift my magnifying glass.

An interesting addition to this is scenario is that with the metaphor of the magnifying glass it means you need to seek out what you want as opposed to what you don't want or why something is happening. Move towards the life you wish to have and take responsibility for directing your focus. Let go of the need to blame or find reasons for what's happening and direct your hear towards you destination.

So I ask you, are you focusing on what you want?
